This razor is made from 125CR1 high carbon steel. Heat treated and tempered to approx. 67 Rockwell.
The blade is a 1/2 hollow grind with an oversized profile. 11/8 at the heel, 11/8 middle and 11/8 at the toe. On the spine I hand filed a "DNA Strand" pattern to give this razor a unique feature. The entire razor was sanded up to 1000 grit. Once done, I applied a forced patina to the steel in a random pattern which reveals blues, purples, and straw colors giving this razor a rustic appearance. The handle is made from stabilized and dyed Box Elder Burl with Blue G10 liners. The wedge is also made from White Ebony. The handles are pinned with brass pinning rod and brass and stainless steel washers to finish off the build. This razor, as well as all others will be shipped out shave ready. Included with this razor is a leather sheath / case to keep it safe and secure when not in use or when traveling.
