New for November 2025. I just completed a very nice Barber Notch Straight Razor.
The blade is made from W2 high carbon steel. Heat treated and tempered to approx. 62 Rockwell.
The blade is a quarter hollow grind with an oversized profile. 11/8 at the heel, 11/8 middle and 11/8 at the toe. The spine features a hand filed scalloped pattern. The entire razor was sanded up to 800 grit, acid etched and I used a chemical patina process to give this razor an aged yet elegant appearance. Coloring from the patina finish shows blues, straw, brown and a slight purple. The handle is made from stabilized and dyed Maple Burl with Green G10 liners. I made the wedge out of Black Palm Wood. The handles are pinned with Copper pinning rod and stainless steel washers to finish off the build. This razor, as well as all others will be shipped out shave ready. Included with this razor is a leather sheath / case to keep it safe and secure when not in use or when traveling.
