Just completed a new Spanish Point Straight Razor.
This blade is made from 1095 high carbon steel. This razor is heat treated and tempered to approx. 62 Rockwell. I did a beveled scallop pattern on the spine to give this razor a unique appearance. The flats on this razor are polished while I applied a satin finish to the hollow grind.
This blade is a half hollow grind with an oversized profile. 10/8 at the heel, 10/8 at the middle of the curve and 10/8 at the toe. I also added a vine pattern to the spine of blade and jimping for added control. The handle is made from stabilized and dyed Box Elder with Tiffany Blue G10 liners. The wedge is made from Black Limba Wood. The handles are pinned with brass pinning rod, and brass washers. This razor, as well as all others will be shipped out shave ready. Included with this razor is a leather sheath / case to keep it safe and secure when not in use or when traveling.
